Jumbo L paint booth

Spacious premises and high-capacity facilities for car painting

The Jumbo L booth has been developed to meet a wide range of needs across various sectors, such as transport (lorries, coaches, railways), the marine industry, or any other application requiring space, power and efficiency.

Its versatile design and high air flow rates allow for independent and safe use in multiple production processes. Furthermore, it incorporates a range of configurable options that make it even more adaptable to each customer’s requirements.

The Jumbo L model differs from the Jumbo F paint booth in that it features a side air outlet with a dry filter curtain, designed to provide high-flow air extraction whilst ensuring adequate air cleaning prior to discharge to the outside, offering greater flexibility in terms of its location and operation. This feature makes it particularly useful when the installation of an air extraction pit or tunnels is not feasible, as is the case with large, heavy or irregularly shaped parts.

The main advantage of the Jumbo L paint booth is that it requires no structural work for installation, making it easy to set up in any workshop; however, it has a wider footprint and produces more noise than the Jumbo F model, although its price is lower than that of the F version.

Key aspects

Good lighting makes all the difference when it comes to painting. That is why, at Fercabin, we prioritise a neutral visual environment, free from shadows and dark areas, to ensure the product is applied evenly.

To optimise performance, we incorporate electronic ballasts as standard, which reduce the energy consumption of fluorescent tubes by up to 50%.

In addition to the financial savings, this improvement contributes to sustainability, with an estimated reduction of 3.7 tonnes of CO₂ per year, according to the IDAE (2012).

Our cabins are fitted with heavy-duty fans mounted on high-quality bearings. This technical configuration ensures:

  • Greater strength and durability, even under heavy use.
  • Quieter operation over time
  • Fewer breakdowns and less preventive maintenance.

A robust and reliable solution that improves the overall performance of the equipment.

The air recirculation system in our paint booths operates using pneumatic dampers, a more efficient alternative to conventional electrical systems. Thanks to this system:

  • This ensures a truly airtight seal, preventing leaks and dangerous build-ups of paint in the boiler.
  • Significant fuel savings are achieved (up to 50%) and cycle times are reduced by 40%. Greater safety, lower consumption and increased productivity.

Unlike traditional boilers, our Jumbo units are fitted with dual-circuit boilers, designed to maximise thermal efficiency. This technology enables:

  • A 30% reduction in energy consumption, with optimised usage.
  • A reduction in emissions of up to 12 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
  • An actual saving of approximately 3,600 litres of fuel per year.

A key improvement in both costs and environmental impact.

The Jumbo L paint booth model allows for the addition of optional modules, which make it easier to carry out tasks more efficiently, comfortably and safely.

Burners

One of the most innovative solutions, with installed capacity tailored to specific requirements.

They are used to heat large volumes of air for use in drying processes, but can only operate within an air stream of a certain velocity.

The combustion gases are mixed with the air to be heated, thereby achieving 100% performance.

This type of equipment features modular flame adjustment from 0 to 100%, allowing for precise temperature control with minimal fluctuations.

Quemador vena de aire

These burners stand out for their versatility and are available in a range of power ratings, from 60 to 260 kW.

Their stable operation and high thermal capacity ensure optimum performance during the drying process, allowing them to be used with a wide variety of products and finishes without any loss of efficiency.

Quemador de gasoil

Gas burners, with outputs ranging from 35 to 280 kW, offer an alternative to diesel burners in locations where gas is available as an energy source.

These burners also provide the oven chamber with sufficient power to ensure rapid and uniform drying of any product placed inside, regardless of its composition.

Propulsion units

Recognising the importance of space, this option minimises the footprint of the booth by positioning the blower unit at the top of the paint booth.

The recirculation system has been designed with the energy efficiency of our products in mind. This enables us to save time and fuel, resulting in cost savings of around 30% compared to the same equipment without this feature.

This system consists of a set of pneumatic dampers that operate in synchronisation to reuse the heat generated in the cabin, solely during the drying phase. It is important that this system is pneumatic, as electric actuators are unable to provide sufficient force to ensure a complete seal between working phases.

Designed with simplicity in mind, this equipment is positioned at ground level on the side of the paint booth, allowing direct and convenient access to all components.

The recirculation system has been designed to optimise the energy efficiency of our equipment, directly benefiting the end user. Thanks to this system, there is a significant reduction in process times and fuel consumption, which can result in cost savings of up to 30% compared to equivalent equipment without this feature.

The system incorporates a set of pneumatic dampers that operate in a coordinated manner, allowing the heat accumulated inside the booth to be reused exclusively during the drying phase. Pneumatic actuation is essential, as electric actuators do not provide the necessary force to ensure a completely airtight seal between the different work phases.

Extraction units

Air purification units are the only option when it comes to eliminating odours caused by the application of paints, varnishes or lacquers. These extraction units must be matched to the supply unit and extract air whilst purifying it in three stages:

The first stage, in which primary filters remove the largest particles; the second stage, where up to 98% of the remaining airborne particles are removed; and the final stage, where odours are trapped. In this way, the booth can operate in a closed-loop system, renewing only a small percentage of the air, or discharge the air to the outside free of particles and with a significant reduction in odours.

Flow rates:

  • 1,83071e+9 – 2,92914e+9 in³/h

Depuradora de aire

These groups correspond to the supply air groups; in this way, we achieve optimal cabin pressurisation, which can be regulated either automatically or manually via a manual damper that we adjust based on the readings displayed on a differential pressure gauge, which is always included with this option.

Flow rates:

  • 1,83071e+9 – 2,92914e+9 in³/h
