Jumbo F paint booth

High performance for large formats

The Jumbo F booth has been designed to meet a wide range of needs in sectors such as transport (lorries, coaches, railways) and the marine industry, amongst others. Its versatility makes it an ideal solution for high-volume jobs or those involving special dimensions.

Thanks to its generous dimensions and high air flow rates, it offers complete operational autonomy and an optimal working environment. Furthermore, it features multiple configurable options to adapt to each customer’s specific requirements.

The Jumbo F paint booth requires civil engineering work on the workshop floor (with two possible layout options: central pit or side pits) to ensure efficient air extraction and proper pressurisation of the interior space, and stands out for its lower noise level, as well as a smaller floor footprint than the JUMBO L and LT models.

The supply units for the Jumbo F paint booth can be side-mounted or top-mounted, and with or without recirculation, whilst the extraction units are responsible for exhausting air to the outside as well as regulating the internal pressure of the booth via damper throttling or frequency converters.

Key aspects

Lighting is a key element in paint booths, where it is essential to ensure neutral colour rendering and uniform, shadow-free lighting for precise and professional work.

At Fercabin, we have been pioneers in fitting electronic ballasts as standard in all our booths. This technology enables:

  • Reduction in the electricity consumption of fluorescent tubes by up to 50%, thanks to power factor correction (cos α).
  • Lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions: up to 3.7 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year (according to IDAE data, 2012 – 0.34 tCO₂/MWh).

Our vacuum grids are of high quality, prioritising durability and comfort underfoot to ensure comfortable, long-lasting use.

Since our inception, we have fitted our cabins with reinforced fans featuring seated bearings. This technical improvement offers:

  • Longer service life and greater mechanical reliability.
  • Reduced maintenance and fewer breakdowns.
  • Quieter operation during continuous use.

A technical choice that makes all the difference in terms of durability and long-term performance.

Our Jumbo models are available with an optional advanced recirculation system that improves the efficiency of the painting process. This system:

  • It prevents paint build-up on the boiler walls, reducing the risk of fire or explosion.
  • It saves up to 50% on fuel and reduces operating times by 40%, resulting in direct improvements in costs and sustainability.

A technical decision that makes all the difference in terms of durability and long-term performance.

The boilers fitted in the Jumbo models are designed with a dual circulation system, which allows for:

  • A 30% energy saving compared to single-circuit boilers.
  • A significant annual reduction in fuel consumption, equating to a substantial reduction in tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂eq).

The Jumbo F spray booth model allows for the addition of optional modules, which make it easier to carry out tasks more efficiently, comfortably and safely.

  • Retractable roof for access via overhead crane.
  • Online management and operation systems.
  • Fault management and remote technical support.

It is sized according to the dimensions of the passenger compartment, with 2 metres deducted from the interior cabin space, and requires a pit depth and a standard width of 1,000 mm. The main advantage of this configuration is that it is simpler to install, reducing costs during fitting; airflow is optimal, although the exhaust air may spray the lower part of the vehicle chassis, which is more noticeable where there are strong colour contrasts.

It is sized according to the dimensions of the passenger compartment, with 2 metres deducted from the interior cabin space, and requires a depth of 1,000 mm; the standard width of each side pit is 680 mm. The main advantage of this configuration is that there is no spray on the chassis and the airflow is more optimised, thanks to the completely vertical jets. However, the civil engineering costs are higher compared to the previous configuration, and operation is slightly less convenient as the operator must apply the lower section over grilles.

Propulsion units

Recognising the importance of space, this option minimises the footprint of the booth by positioning the blower unit at the top of the paint booth.

The recirculation system has been designed with the energy efficiency of our products in mind. This enables us to save time and fuel, resulting in cost savings of around 30% compared to the same equipment without this feature.

This system consists of a set of pneumatic dampers that operate in synchronisation to reuse the heat generated in the cabin, solely during the drying phase. It is important that this system is pneumatic, as electric actuators are unable to provide sufficient force to ensure a complete seal between working phases.

The recirculation system has been designed to optimise the energy efficiency of our equipment, directly benefiting the end user. Thanks to this system, there is a significant reduction in processing times and fuel consumption, which can result in cost savings of up to 30% compared to equivalent equipment without this feature.

The system incorporates a set of pneumatic dampers that operate in a coordinated manner, allowing the heat accumulated inside the chamber to be reused exclusively during the drying phase. Pneumatic operation is essential, as electric actuators do not provide the necessary force to ensure a completely airtight seal between the different stages of operation.

Burners

One of the most innovative solutions, with installed capacity tailored to specific requirements.

They are used to heat large volumes of air for use in drying processes, but can only operate within an air stream of a certain velocity.

The combustion gases are mixed with the air to be heated, thereby achieving 100% performance.

This type of equipment features modular flame adjustment from 0 to 100%, allowing for precise temperature control with minimal fluctuations.

Quemador vena de aire

These burners stand out for their versatility and are available in a range of power ratings, from 60 to 260 kW.

Their stable operation and high thermal capacity ensure optimum performance during the drying process, allowing them to be used with a wide variety of products and finishes without any loss of efficiency.

Quemador de gasoil

Gas burners, with outputs ranging from 35 to 280 kW, offer an alternative to diesel burners in locations where gas is available as an energy source.

These burners also provide the oven chamber with sufficient power to ensure rapid and uniform drying of any product placed inside, regardless of its composition.

Extraction units

Air purification units are the only option when it comes to eliminating odours caused by the application of paints, varnishes or lacquers. These extraction units must be matched to the supply unit and extract air whilst purifying it in three stages:

A first stage in which primary filters remove the largest particles; a second stage where up to 98% of the remaining suspended particles are removed; and a final stage where odours are trapped. In this way, the cabin can operate in a closed-loop system, renewing only a small percentage of the air, or discharge the air to the outside free of particles and with a significant reduction in odours.

Depuradora de aire

These groups correspond to the supply air groups; in this way, we achieve optimal cabin pressurisation, which can be regulated either automatically or manually via a manual damper that we adjust based on the readings displayed on a differential pressure gauge, which is always included with this option.
