At Fercabin, we know that the future lies in becoming more sustainable. That is why our R&D team works every day to make our booths increasingly efficient, incorporating the latest innovations in energy saving and management.
The result is equipment that not only improves performance but also reduces consumption and emissions, helping you to protect the environment and optimise your costs.
Technology that makes a difference
Air recirculation during the drying phase
Thanks to this system, the booth reuses up to 80% of the air during drying. This translates into lower fuel consumption and a faster rise in temperature. Greater efficiency, lower costs.
Efficient boilers
Our boilers are made of stainless steel and feature a dual exhaust gas circulation system, which allows up to 30% more heat to be utilised rather than being expelled outside. This results in a faster temperature rise and maximum energy efficiency.
Smart lighting
The state-of-the-art electronic ballast systems achieve energy savings of up to 70 % compared to conventional lighting. Furthermore, the fluorescent tubes offer instant start-up and a 20 % longer service life, complying with RBT 2024 standards (cos φ 0.95).
IE3 electric motors
In accordance with European regulations (Directive 2009/125/EC and Regulation (EC) No 640/2009), our cabins are fitted with high-efficiency IE3 motors. This ensures more sustainable operation, lower electricity consumption and greater durability.
Options that boost savings
In addition to these integrated systems, at FERCABIN we offer a range of optional solutions to take efficiency even further:
- Frequency converters: improve process control, extend the service life of the motor-fan unit and reduce energy consumption by up to 15% during start-ups.
- Software-programmable start-up: allows for a controlled increase in speed, avoiding voltage spikes and optimising performance.
- Wide range of speed, torque and power: with a power factor of unity, resulting in an additional 20% energy saving.
- Bypass system: which maintains operation even in the event of drive failure or overloads.
The science of energy saving
The physical laws governing fan behaviour are clear: power varies with the cube of the speed. In other words, reducing the speed slightly results in a significant reduction in energy consumption.
For example, if you reduce the speed by 20%, you can cut energy consumption by up to 50%. In practice, the payback periods for frequency converters in our cabins are usually between 2 and 3 years, after which all the savings are yours.
More efficient burners
Fercabin offers you a range of fuel options (diesel, natural gas, methane, amongst others), and air-jet burners, which achieve 100% efficiency, 30% more than conventional burners.
Their main advantage is that they make the most of the hot air generated during drying or painting, ensuring a consistent and sustainable process.
Fercabin, a smart investment
At Fercabin, we believe that every small technological improvement counts. Investing in efficient equipment not only reduces your environmental impact but also improves your profitability in the medium and long term. Remember: the service life of a facility of this type exceeds 15 years, and a smart investment today can translate into significant savings tomorrow.
